Removing stretch marks is a delicate subject but today I am sharing with you my natural remedy, explaining the products needed and the applications tips (I have also took before / after pics). Many women are wondering how to remove stretch marks and I was one of them. I did start to get more and more stretch marks as I gained a bit of weight. I tried many creams and they did hydrate but none of them did any change to my marks.
Then I heard about a certain natural oil. I have never tried it before and I was curious if it lived up to its hype. Many people recommend it for shinier hair and smoother skin so I thought to give it a try and let you know too what I honestly think of it in my review below. Keep reading to discover what it is.
STRETCH MARKS NATURAL REMEDY
You will be surprised to know that you do not need a cream but an oil, in our attempt of stretch marks removal. It is essential to consider a very good organic product, because a cheap low quality one will not give you results and a product full of chemicals will likely irritate you. I had high expectation from an organic argan oil because I read so many good things about it. It was important for me to choose a good organic brand, as quality varies between companies. The best place to buy is in my opinion Amazon, I have made a selection below of oils from there that I actually own.
STRETCH MARKS REMOVAL TREATMENT RECIPE
- I cleansed skin with warm water.
- I pat it dry.
- I apply a few drops of organic argan oil to my skin and massage it gently for a minute. I only recommend using High Quality Organic Argan Oil (I personally used the one from this: click at http://amzn.to/2BiZPGF to buy in Europe, click at http://amzn.to/2DVEtSN to buy from the USA).
- Repeat this in the morning and at night before bed.
- Before going to bed, after applying argan oil to my stretch marks, I wrap them for 30 minutes in plastic foil, then remove it (never sleep with it).
- Exfoliate your skin twice a week in the shower (do not over do it because too much exfoliation can dry your skin).
STRETCH MARKS TREATMENT RESULTS
As you can see from the before/ after my skin was dry and blotchy. It photographed not so pretty. I do believe that in a week, it is less blotchy and this makes the stretch marks look less obvious. My skin, being hydrated now, it reflects light better and it photographs much nicely. Being hydrated makes a lot of difference in how my skin looks and I am happy with the results so far, my goal to fade them is going well. The before photo was taken before I started the treatment and the after photo was taken in a week of applying argan oil, after I removed the night wrap.
WHY IS ARGAN OIL GOOD FOR STRETCH MARKS?
Pure argan oil is amazing, it contains antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that deeply hydrate the skin. Skin hydration is essential to keep its elasticity which leads to fading and prevention of stretch marks.
Argan oil is made from the argan nut. Kernels of the Moroccan tree are delicately harvested and naturally processed in an organic product. This is why, I am telling you again to only choose a natural pure argan oil because it contains 100% natural ingredients. I was surprised to see how easy it gets absorbed and it is not too greasy, but make sure it is absorbed before getting dressed. If traces are still there and you need to put something on quickly, just remove the excess with clean hands or a paper napkin.
I can feel it is much more powerful to hydrate than any other creams I have tried in the past. If you think about it, it makes sense as most cremes have a small percentage of argan oil, this being entirely made of it.
STRETCH MARKS TREATMENT DURATION
To see results as to remove stretch marks, you will need to follow this method with patience. Stretch marks are hard to fade, so small progress is expected week by week. This is a natural, gentle method so much better than applying a quick and aggressive chemical. I got these results in a week and I am very happy, as nothing worked before this. These are discreet results and respecting my method will slowly help you in fading them. I plan to update this article in a year, to see the full progress. Until then, I have made before/after pics so you can judge the results.
You will need to follow this method daily. It is a fantastic way to hydrate and I am sure that you will not be disappointed when you will feel how soft you skin will be. Mine is incredibly soft after applications, I now understand why argan oil is one of the most expensive ones.
Also, it would be smart for you to make a test before applying argan oil for the first time. Just put a drop on your skin and wait for 30 minutes to see if you get any bad reaction. Always test this way any new cream or oil before fully applying it. Even if allergies are rare, better stay safe.
WHAT ARE STRETCH MARKS?
Stretch marks are lines that have a different color than the rest of your skin in that area and occur because of skin’s rapid expansion or contraction. This can be because of weight gain/loss or pregnancy, puberty etc. Many women have them, including myself.
BODY CONFIDENCE
What I want to mention is that, with or without stretch marks, you are beautiful. Do not dislike your body if you have them, simply try and take care of them to reduce them. My goal is not even to completely remove them. I would be happy with them a bit more reduced. Again, we must not set ourselves too high body standards, because it is not healthy. No one has a perfect body.
Please try my method and I hope it can help you too. Keep in mind that each body is different so it might not fade your stretch marks if they are for a long time, mine are a mix of recent ones and some of 10 years or so. But it will surely make your skin amazingly soft and hydrated, preventing future stretch marks. I really dislike posts that present a body issue like the worst thing ever that you need to absolutely need to get rid of. My post is not that kind of post, I am about accepting your body but if possible, try to improve it a bit, in a natural, relaxed method. No pressure, no feeling bad.
I also don’t promise sensational, ridiculous results in 3 days, like some unrealistic posts. This is real progress, in its slow, but sure rate. I was not paid to write this article. I just hope it will help you too in removing stretch marks.
P.S. for cellulite try the cream from http://amzn.to/2DyKrLm (for Europe) or http://amzn.to/2G1enyk (for the USA).

Thanks for sharing. Argan oil sure made a big difference. I have never used it nor did I know it would do such a great job. I wonder if it would work on scars ?
Fashion Stylist says
Hi Terry, it depends on the nature and age of the scars but I think it is worth a try. Maybe it can make a difference as the skin gets softer and the scars look less hard.

Back in 2001 I got a rare auto immune disease called pyroderma gangrenosum. Basically they are terrible sores and they were on my forearms and hands. So it looks like a bunch of scar tissue. I have tried scar removers but none of them work. At this point it is probably to late to do anything about them. Thanks for sharing this though. I am going to get me some and see if it works.
Fashion Stylist says
Sorry to hear about that, Terry. Maybe it would be best to ask the doctor first if you can use argan oil on them, just to make sure it doesn’t upset the immune system. Sending you lots of hugs. Let me know how it goes.
Terry Poage says
Went to order on Amazon and they don’t ship it to the united States. Well it was a good thought.
Fashion Stylist says
Terry, I am going to contact the brand and let me see what I can do for you, I will ask them about shipping.

I do use Argan Oil and think it’s amazing for the nutrition of the skin. I love that you posted your results. Since I see my skin daily, it’s sometimes hard to determine if something is happening about my stretch marks after having my second child, but I do know that it’s more vibrant and healthier looking.
